The Douglas County School System Technology Committee will have its first meeting of the 2012-2013 school year on Thursday, September 20, 2012, from 6:00-8:00PM  The meeting will be held at the Central Office Annex West located at 4841 Highway 5, Douglasville, GA 30135. 

The vision of the committee is that students will have access to and be engaged in the use of technology tools to increase opportunities for collaboration, problem solving, innovation and research in order to prepare them for post-secondary education and/or the skills of the global workforce.  The committee works to achieve this vision by including all stakeholders in the process of identifying and recommending tools and practices that support the integration of technology into teaching and learning.  All students, parents, teachers, administrators, community members, district support staff and technology department staff are invited to attend.
