Subjects Taught
Econ, World History

I graduated from McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, GA in 1987

I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1991 with a degree in Marketing

I returned to the University of West Georgia in 2001, and obtained a teaching certification in Social Studies

2017-2018 AP World History Summer Assignment is located in the File Manager

I have been teaching since 2004, I officially began my second career (teaching) at Lithia Springs High School, and remainded there until the 2013-2014  school year.  I made the move to New Manchester with the 2014-2015 school year, and I cannot be happier with that decision.

During my teaching career I have taught all areas of social studies; World Geography, World History, Advanced Placement World History, United States History, American Government, Advanced Placement American Government, and now Economics.

Prior to teaching I worked for Delta Air Lines for 15 years, where I held many positions ranging from 'wheelchair pusher' to 'human resources coordinator'.  Although I enjoyed my time and experiences at Delta, I had a calling to education, and I have always loved history, so as they say "the rest is history".

I have lived all over the country, from Minnesota, to Washington State, to Washington, D.C.  However, I consider Anchorage, Alaska home!  That is where I have my earliest and fondest memories.

I have lived in Douglas County since the early 1990s, my husband is a graduate of Douglas County High School.  We have three children, Emily is a 2014 graduate of Douglas County, Katey is a 2016 graduate of Douglas County, and John is in 5th grade at South Douglas.   In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and just being outside.

I am also a HUGE fan of the University of Nebraska, so Saturday afternoons in the fall you will find me watching Big Red Football.

I  look forward  to a great school year, and I am thrilled to be a JAGUAR!
