Undergraduate Degree: Middle School Mathematics Education from the University of West Georgia

Master's Degree: Instructional Technology from American Intercontinental University

My first two years of teaching were at a private school in Carrollton, GA, where I taught all subjects to grades 6, 7, 8, and 9th grades in a single classroom. That school closed, and I moved to South Georgia and taught in Worth County for years before I received a job back closer to home. At this time, I taught in Temple, GA, until the recession hit. Eventually I was able to the Ombudsman team in Haralson County and eventually taught at the high school in that county as well. Now, I am here and am LOVING being a Jaguar!

I was born and raised in Cleburne County, Alabama, where I was in band in high school and kept to myself because I was really shy. I have always loved music and have an appreciation for art. I am not artistic at all, but I can be creative. I enjoy having fun but am all about business first.

Children are my life in many senses of the word. I teach children, yes, but I have three wonderful children of my own as well as other children of my heart, one of whom is making me a grandmother in February. I am married to a wonderful man who also teaches and coaches. So, when I am not at school teaching, I am at games, or school events for my children, or with their friends at their events. Life is never dull.

Animals are a big part of my life as well. My children love animals. Not to mention so do my husband and myself. We have cats, dogs, chickens, and BUNNIES!!!! I love bunnies!! They are adorable!

I am a huge ALABAMA fan! ROLL TIDE, YA'LL!!!!
