Benjamin Ford

I've been an educator for 18 years, 17 of which I have spent here in the State of Georgia.  I am originally from Indianapolis, Indiana (GO COLTS!) where I attended High School and participated in 4 years of athletics.  I have an enthusiastic passion for teaching and mentoring our youth into becoming productive citizens in the future.

Along with teaching, I have had the opportunity to coach some of Georgia's finest young male and female athletes.  I am currently the outside linebackers coach/Special Teams coordinator for the varsity football team here at New Manchester High School.  I have also coached track & field as well as girls and boys basketball.  Through my coaching experiences I have had the opportunity to witness the growth and maturity of many athletes throughout my years.

After graduating from high school (1991), I attended Ball State University where I earned my 1st Bachelor's degree in Pre-Law/Political Science (1996).  Afterwhich, I decided to relocate to Atlanta, Ga to begin earning my teacher certification degree from Clark-Atlanta University.  In 1998, I married and moved back to Indianapolis to finish my education degree at Indiana Univerisity at Indianapolis (2000).  Upon completion of my 2nd Bachelor's degree I began teaching for Indianapolis Public Schools, after one year I relocated back to Atlanta where I began teaching at Morrow High School in Clayton County, Ga.  where I spent 5 years teaching World History and coaching football and basketball (2001-2006).  In 2006, I began teaching and coaching at Chapel Hill High School.  In February 2007, I recieved my Master's degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology, then in August of 2011 I had the great opportunity to be a member of the inagural faculty at New Manchester High School.  I am married to Juniata Ford, esq. and have 4 wonderful childern Jalen, Colin, Dylan, & Mia.  I've also been a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc since 1991.
